IBM Grant to Benefit bYoung Explorersb in North Carolina

Communities in Schools of North Carolina has received a grant from IBM that will benefit 14 affiliates across the state and enable the state office to purchase 19 bYoung Explorerb technology centers, each valued at $2,600.

CIS of Moore County received two Young Explorer Technology Stations and donated them to Aberdeen Primary School.

The grant is a part of IBMbs KidSmart program, a global early learning technology initiative designed to help young people develop the literacy and computer skills needed to succeed in school. The Young Explorer computer comes with educational software that helps children learn and explore concepts in math, science and language.
