Communities In School (CIS), the nationb s leading organization dedicated to empowering students to stay in school and achieve in life will be the beneficiary of the areab s first childrenb s consignment sale. The three day Kidtastic Sale will be held Dec 10th b 12th, 2011 at the National Guard Armory on Morganton Road in Southern Pines.
The consignment sale is being organized by local parent and Girl Scout leader, Michelle Barnes, to help area parents recycle gently used childrenb s clothing, toys and accessories as well as support the needs of a local charity, Communities In Schools of Moore County. A portion of all donated items will go to support mentoring programs for local students.
The three day event will consist of a pre-sale on Friday, December 10th for all volunteers, a public on sale Saturday, December 11th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a two hour 50% off sale on Sunday, December 12th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Consignors are still needed and do not have to be present during the sale. Donations of childrenb s clothing and other items are also being accepted by Communities In Schools of Moore County. The proceeds from the sales of these items will directly benefit their programs. Donated items can be dropped off at the CISMC office at 300 Kelly Road, Suite E in Pinehurst.
