Thanks to a grant from the department of juvenile justice and generous supporters, we offer the MY PATH program for at-risk youth. My PATH=Positive Choices, Academic Improvement, Taking Charge of My Future, and High Values. Trained mentors with years of experience in working with at-risk youth work with small groups of teens after school to teach conflict resolution, offer career opportunities through job shadowing, an expose teens to academic opportunities.
We are blessed to have two dynamic, passionate My PATH leaders:
Roberta Maness served for years with youth in our community through her work as Chief of Police for Moore County Schools. She has an intimate knowledge of the challenges our at-risk youth face, and is passionate about mentoring and encouraging young people. Joining her in the My PATH program is Bill Ross, who also has decades of experience in mentoring and uplifting teens in our schools through in-school intervention programs. This dynamic duo meets regularly with at-risk teens and plans adventures and opportunities to help them grow and thrive. BRIGHT FUTURES BEGIN WITH AMAZING MENTORS.
